The department of O&G started along with the establishment of the Kokrajhar Medical College in 2023 with undergraduate course. Presently the department has six faculties running both regular OPD/IPD and OT services. The department has started its caesarean section operation on 30th March ’23. Presently ultrasonography service is provided for emergency and labour cases as well. Besides general obstetrics and gynaecological services, the department is presently running contraceptives & birth control, post-partum services, infertility, cancer screeningand complicated obstetrics along with an HDU. The department has proposed to start IVF & Foetal Medicine Units in the immediate near future.
